Rocky Ridge

Today was one of those perfect days.  Temps in the 70's, no bugs, and clear blue skies.  I was feeling restless and I knew sitting on the couch, watching the Ravens game, and drinking beer was not an option.  So, me and my little adventurous one took a trip to Rocky Ridge Park in York County, PA.  This park is only a hop, skip and a jump from our house so our last minute decision to go didn't keep us from doing some exploring and playing when we got there.

There are 9 different trails each only a little over a mile.  The longest was 1.9 miles.  We discovered well maintained pavilions with electric, well marked and clean trails, and two small but fun playgrounds.

We stopped at the scenic observation deck located on the north side which offers a panoramic view of the Susquehanna Valley.  Pictured below is Three Mile Island.

Here's my adventurous one.  She is always up for a challenge...rock climbing, hang gliding, water tubing...you name it and Gabby will try it

A little adventure...A lot of fun!

This is the park I told you about with the Festival of Lights, with over 600,000 lights. You should make a trip back there at Christmas. It's beautiful and a nice thing for the whole family to do. I didn't realize you could see 3-mile island from there. Cool pics!
