A Ride I Never Want To Take

When we heard the sirens getting louder and louder, our curiosity got the best of us and we found ourselves outside wondering and waiting to see where they were headed.   Across the street we watched firemen scour a corn field as they searched for an open and safe area to land a helicopter.  They boxed off an area with orange cones and shortly after, the Life Lion Helicopter prepared to make it's landing.

When the ambulance arrived, we watched the EMT's prepare the victim for the ride of his life.  How unfortunate and definitely a ride I never want to take under those circumstances, but thankful the victim had a chance.  We later found out his car smacked into a tree and he had to be cut free from the wreckage.

Here are a few pictures from yesterdays activities:

No. I would not want to take that "ride" either. I sure hope that guy is ok.
