Thoughts of Thanksgiving

The setting for a perfect Thanksgiving Day...

The air was chilly and the sky was gray. You could see daylight peeking through the bare trees as I headed out on my morning bus run. My eyes always moving, scanning each side of the road anticipating quick movement from deer oblivious of their surroundings. The corn fields have been harvested and shredded pieces of dried corn stalks lay along the road mixed with the fallen leaves. Billowing smoke surfaced out of each chimney filling the crisp air with a woodsy campfire smell. Oh how it feels like Thanksgiving!

Are there certain things that remind you of Thanksgiving?

All the things you mentioned in your post remind me of Thanksgiving. The smell of turkey too.
