Keep Em Coming

Exciting times happening at the Lizards of Oz. So far, three Ball Pythons have produced healthy clutches (they laid eggs.) Ruby, a normal Ball Python, produced 9 eggs which is the largest clutch ever produced at the Lizards of Oz. She's a big girl. The other normal Ball produced a clutch of 4 and the Bumble Bee produced 5 eggs this morning. Matt is expecting two more clutches from his Western Hog Nose snakes and possibly from his Angolan Pythons.

The eggs will incubate for 60 days or so at a temperature of 88 degrees. Mating snakes takes timing, perfect temperatures and humidity, and patience. Once you fully understand and meet the snakes needs, mating will happen naturally and can often last for a full day. Girls, can you imagine that?

Below are pictures of the healthy clutches and if you'd like to see pictures of the mentioned Ball Pythons, please view the link above.

Stay tuned...

Those poor reptiles have nothing better to do in those confined areas! Can't wait to see the babies! Looks like reptile man has just the right touch!
