Who likes to sing along (or try to) to the famous carol, The Twelve Days of Christmas? You might sing along but, do you really know the meaning behind it? My Dad shared an article with me explaining the meanings behind the gifts given and I'd like to pass that information on to you. You'll have such a better appreciation for the song even if it's Alvin and the Chipmunk's singing it.
Here it goes. Day 1:
One the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me
A partridge in a pear tree.
"My true love" represents the big man upstairs, God
The partridge is symbolic of Jesus Christ, and the pear tree is Jerusalem
