Picnic Anyone?

I have to brag about the awesome picnic blanket my mother in-law made and gave to me for Christmas.

It all started years ago when a friend showed me her picnic blanket that was made by her and her mother. I thought it was so cute and a great idea for me and MiMi (a.k.a mother in-law) to work on together since she could whip up anything on her sewing machine.

We ventured off to the fabric store and lo and behold, found the perfect fabric to use for my blanket. With good intentions of scheduling time to work on my project, I sent home the fabric with MiMi. But, days passed and soon the days turned into years, and my picnic blanket was forgotten about.

Then, for Christmas this year, MiMi surprised me with my picnic blanket. It was wrapped in a big box and I had no idea what was waiting for me inside. When I opened it, I was so excited to find the picnic blanket that I long forgot about. It looked exactly what I envisioned and even though I didn't take part in making it, it's a treasure that will always be near and dear to me.

If you would like a custom blanket made for you or a friend, let me know and I will give you MiMi's contact information. She can make it to your specifications or give you suggestions.
