Nature Taking Care Of Nature

Tis the season for flies, bugs, ticks, caterpillars, and those wicked spiders. Yesterday, we had the rare opportunity of witnessing a spider killing a caterpillar. It was all very gruesome and sad at the same time but, I guess this is nature's way of keeping the food chain balanced. I decided to capture the kill and share the pictures with you even though I was reluctant to get too close. Weird things have happened to me when it comes to spiders so, I made sure I kept my distance so that Mr. Spider didn't feel threatened and leap onto me. If that happened, I'm not sure I would be here writing this story. I really hate spiders!!

Yikes! That is one large spider. Glad it didn't attack you!

Ewwww! What kind of spider is that I wonder? I hate those creepy caterpillars too. Now, we need a frog or bird to kill the spider!
